I like that they are going for a more grown up look than the younger SSBB version. Some of the concept art sucks though from the link, like the ones where he wears a jacket or whatever, but I'm liking the way they are going.

I wonder if they're tying that into the ending sequence of the first game - maybe they're gonna give him the ability to go from being a child to

I had a feeling they were planning on reviving Kid Icarus--Super Smash Bros. was a great springboard. I gotta agree that a more adult-looking Pit would be a
good idea, but some of those supposed concepts look really strange. In fact, they look more like fan art than anything...
Whatever happens, it'll be interesting, as long as they don't go too far with the "look how cool we're making him" factor.  |

If this weren't Nintendo I'd assume this was all about about making Pit GRIM and EDGY, like Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, though.
Anyway, first party Nintendo games are great. I mean, I HATED Kid Icarus, but then again I hated most NES games' inane controls and stuff. I'm sure Nintendo can create a stellar offering that will play differently but just as good as their other franchises. Hopefully with some sort of pseudo-jet combat involving flying with those wings. |

I never played Kid Icarus, but I can't foresee how it'd transition into today's "cool games only" policy.

Possibly better than Rygar, but not better than Ninja Gaiden, probably. Or it will be good, who knows.
By the way Pit is like one of the best characters in this Smash Bros. Brawl game I'm finally playing. Then again, I've taken to playing as Snake so I don't know when I'll go back to Pit, or even Metaknight, the poor guy... |
